LEGAL TECH ASSOCIATION GERMANY EXPANDS POLITICAL ADVOCACY

Annika Schröder takes on newly created role as Head of Public Affairs.

Since its founding in 2020, the Legal Tech Association Germany has represented the political interests of now more than 180 member companies. At the beginning of this year, the association created a new political role and is now strengthening its advocacy work with additional personnel. In addition to Managing Director Valerie Keilhau, Annika Schröder has now joined the Berlin office as the newly appointed Head of Public Affairs, responsible for leading the association’s political engagement.

Schröder brings extensive experience in political consulting and association work. Most recently, she worked for the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, where she helped shape strategic initiatives on artificial intelligence as part of the AI Taskforce. Prior to that, she served as an advisor to a member of the German Bundestag and gained experience at the German Startups Association (Bundesverband Deutsche Startups e.V.).

“With Annika Schröder, we are gaining an experienced expert who not only brings in-depth knowledge in public affairs, but also has a strong background in digital transformation — equipping her to develop innovative solutions for the political legal market,” says Alisha Andert, Chair of the Legal Tech Association Germany.

In her new role, Schröder will strategically expand the association’s public affairs work. Alongside representing the interests of the members, she will develop new political event formats and strengthen dialogue with other legal market stakeholders. Her responsibilities will also include driving the digitalization of the justice system and positioning the association as a key thought leader in transforming the legal sector within German politics.
